Description

The long-distance flight is an exceptional free-flight experience. Rather than a simple out-and-back, you set off to explore above the Chamonix valley, soaring over alpine meadows, forests and summits before landing in the heart of Chamonix. A cross-country tandem flight for adventure lovers and those who love wide open spaces. The scenery is fantastic.

Lasting 35 to 50 minutes depending on thermal conditions, this long-distance flight harnesses air currents to travel across the valley's relief. An intense experience reserved for those who want to discover paragliding in its full exploratory dimension.

Accessibility

Reserved for adults and teenagers in good physical condition. Weight between 45 and 90 kg. Other weights — please contact us.
Not recommended for those prone to motion sickness.

Flight period

Winter: February to April

Summer: May to September. This flight is highly dependent on the day's thermal and weather conditions.
The meeting time is precise, based on air conditions — often midday.

Equipment

In summer: windbreaker, fleece, trousers, sports shoes, light gloves, sunglasses. Dress warmly — we sometimes climb to altitude!
In winter: ankle boots or après-ski boots, warm clothing, gloves, sunglasses or ski goggles. Ski boots not recommended.

Bring your phone so we can find each other easily and to transfer your photos and videos.

No helmet or backpack needed.

Lionel is a high mountain guide and paragliding instructor. A seasoned alpinist, excellent climber and exceptional paragliding pilot, he leads all our extraordinary expeditions — including the paragliding landing on the summit of Mont Blanc in 2009. He is the expert of the Mont Blanc massif. He will share his passion for paragliding and his mountains with warmth and good humour.

Paragliding instructor with 25 years of experience. In love with wide open spaces and freedom, he sailed extensively in the tropics before making a home on Réunion Island. Caroline has 34 years of experience in paragliding. She is a high-level competitive athlete with an exceptional track record: 15 podiums in the Paragliding World Cup, French Champion 5 consecutive years and World Vice-Champion in team paragliding. She is the first woman to have landed by paraglider on the summit of Mont Blanc. She takes care of you like family, and loves sharing her knowledge of the Chamonix valley and its wildlife. She is passionate about showing that flying is easy, gentle and accessible — just like the birds.

Why paraglide in Chamonix?

Flying is wonderful. Flying in this panorama is truly exceptional — one of the most beautiful paragliding sites in the world.
The in-flight views are breathtakingly beautiful.

There is something for everyone! Children, adults, seniors, athletes, thrill-seekers, adrenaline hunters, or simply those looking to enjoy the flight closest to nature and the view: a timeless moment, calm and contemplative.
We never run out of reasons to fly in Chamonix.

Take-off and access to the launch site are easy.

What should I bring?

Bring your phone so we can find each other at the meeting point... and to transfer the photos and videos from your flight.

In summer, dress as if you were going for a short mountain hike: a windbreaker, trousers, sports shoes and sunglasses.

In winter, dress as if you were going skiing. Wear ankle boots, après-ski boots, or snowboard boots. Ski boots are not recommended. Don't forget your gloves, sunglasses or ski goggles.

Don't bring a helmet — we have a certified helmet for you.
Don't bring a backpack — there is no room to take it on the flight.

How will I receive my photos and videos?

On request, your instructor takes videos and photos during the flight with an HD GoPro camera on a telescopic pole. 
You are featured in the foreground of the video with the landscapes appearing behind you.
It is truly worth it — the footage is fantastic.

At the end of the flight, everything can be transferred to your phone via cable.

Don't forget to bring your phone and free up some space — it can take up to 8GB.

No phone, or not enough space? Your instructor will give you an SD card with your images.

How long are the flights?

For each flight, we specify the approximate flight duration. For example, for Planpraz-Brévent and Plan de l'Aiguille flights, we fly between 15 and 25 minutes, with an average of 20 minutes.
Flight time mainly depends on weather and wind conditions, as well as our passenger's comfort level.

The total activity time is approximately one hour: meeting point, ascent to take-off, preparation, flight, landing, and return to the meeting point.

For the long-distance flight, flight time is around 45 minutes, with a total activity duration of approximately one and a half hours.
